  Environmental evaluations of Oil City in City of Syracuse in support of proposed expansion of Carousel Center Mall. STERLING’s evaluation included remedial cost estimates for addressing extensive petroleum contamination of soil and groundwater.

• FORMER MOBIL TERMINAL, Mt. Vernon, New York
  Performed Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments of a former major oil storage facility. Participated in negotiations with regulatory agencies and former owner regarding remediation and development of property. Performed remedial investigations and oversaw remedial work at the site.

  Remedial Investigation and management of an automotive recycling facility. Services included remediation of spilled used oil, gasoline, and automotive coolant. STERLING also arranged for the removal of several underground storage tanks and associated impacted soil.

Petroleum Storage Tanks and Spills

• REVERE SMELTING CORP., Middletown, New York
  Prepared a comprehensive spill plan for seven (7) petroleum storage tanks and six (6) hazardous substance tanks that met both the requirements for 6 NYCRR Parts 598, 612, 613 and 614, and 40 CFR 112.

  Supervised a tank closure and spill investigation. Prepared a SPCC Plan for several tanks for this major construction firm.
